The inverse catapults or shock simulators are intended to reproduce the effects of a real crash in a reliable, repeatable and in theory non-destructive way.

An inverse catapult includes :
  • An hydraulic actuator from 1500 to 4000 kN (or more).
  • A customised shock sledge.
  • A set of rails (30 to 40 m).
  • A reaction mass of 40 to 50 meters length.

Performances:
  • Usefully embedded mass up to 2500 kg
  • Acceleration: 110 g
